My journey
A long time ago, in 2000, I graduated from the IVA in Driebergen. I always had an interest for the automotive industry, commercial vehicles in particular. A career in Automotive was therefore an obvious choice for me. Before I started working at BAS, I worked at Volvo and Kleyn Trucks. At that time, I was already abroad a lot and sometimes met buyers from BAS Trucks. That is how I met Frans in Denmark. Frans talked about BAS Trucks with such pleasure and passion that I became very curious. One thing led to another and before I knew it, I was sitting around the table with the owner of BAS Trucks. Today, I have been working as a Purchaser at BAS Trucks for a number of years. Every week I travel abroad to buy trucks, light commercial vehicles and construction equipment for our customers around the world. Every day I reach out to veteran and new suppliers, in particular manufacturers, lease companies, transport companies and banks, and try to find the best vehicles at the lowest price.
This is what motivates me
I am motivated by the many young, enthusiastic and active colleagues around me. With our team we buy and sell around 40 used vehicles every day. That’s a spectacular achievement and we keep on growing. Fast and clear communication makes it possible for me to accelerate even more on the road. At BAS you get every opportunity to develop and grow. Each time I am amazed at how people to develop themselves further and excel at BAS. I’m also driven by the continuous expansion and improvement of my business contacts abroad. Fortunately, I still have some time left every evening to run a round to relax.

Proud of..
Every day I am proud to be on the road for BAS Trucks. By efficiently collaborating with my colleagues in the head office, we’re able to purchase more and better. If I look back at the developments over the past 3 years, we have started to work even more efficiently. I am curious where we will be in another 3 years!
